Mallorca Preservation and the Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival (EMIFF) are launching the second edition of the environmental film series “Cine Consciente” (Conscious Cinema). This space for reflection and dissemination uses the seventh art as a tool to raise awareness about the main environmental challenges facing Mallorca and the planet.

El balance del tráfico de cruceros en Mallorca durante 2024 muestra una tendencia desigual: mientras que el número de buques atracados en la isla aumentó, el volumen de pasajeros descendió respecto a años anteriores.

Los últimos datos recopilados por el Observatorio de Sostenibilidad Medioambiental de Mallorca muestran un cambio de tendencia en los desplazamientos. Durante 2024, el número de turismos descendió un 1,5% en comparación con el año anterior, mientras que el parque de motocicletas experimentó un incremento del 5,84%.

El año 2024 marcó un nuevo hito en la historia turística de Mallorca: la isla recibió un total de 13.389.923 visitantes, lo que supuso un incremento del 7,31% respecto a 2023 (12.477.497) y consolidó a la isla como uno de los destinos más demandados del Mediterráneo.

Ibiza Preservation, Mallorca Preservation, and Menorca Preservation selected an environmental consultancy to analyze data and prepare a technical report on the situation of plastic pollution on the seabed of the Balearic Islands, with the aim of better understanding it and designing management and awareness-raising strategies.
