Once again, the Regulatory Council of the Oli de Mallorca Designation of Origin and Ultima Hora are joining forces to highlight the value of the island's olive groves and emphasize the role of olive growing in sustainable economic and social development, as well as its role in the fight against climate change.
Once again, Mallorca Preservation is joining forces with @GrupoMallaPublicidad to launch a campaign that inspires us to adopt more environmentally friendly habits. This year, we are focusing on three things that both locals and visitors can do to make the island more sustainable.
Debora Morrison, director of the Palma Aquarium Foundation: “To be able to say that the Balearic Sea has almost 300 more alitanes is a great achievement”.
Today, May 20th, we celebrate one of the pillars of life on Earth: bees 🐝 "This is not just a conservation issue. Pollinators are essential to our food systems, our climate resilience, and our economic security. Protecting pollinators means protecting ourselves." — Prof. Simon Potts, University of Reading.
We invite you to take a closer look at this reality that affects us all, to reflect on our relationship with the environment and to become aware of the value of conserving our seas.
On April 10, we had the opportunity to present the 2024 Annual Report together with you.
Four documentaries. Four powerful stories that inspired us to reflect on and connect with the challenges and marvels of our environment. Over 350 people joined us in this journey, and we’re excited to share a brief recap of what we’ve experienced together:
Join us on Monday, November 4, at 18:30 at the Estudi General Lul-lià for a special screening of 2040, a documentary exploring practical solutions to environmental challenges. Filmmaker Damon Gameau envisions a hopeful future for his daughter, who will be 21 in the year 2040.
Last Saturday, October 5th, we took part in the II Vuelta a Sa Porrassa, an event dedicated to marine conservation and sports, set in an unbeatable location. Throughout the morning, we shared space with key allies in the protection of the marine environment, such as the Palma Aquarium Foundation, Cleanwave, Marilles, and Shark Med, each with their own stand showcasing the work being done in the Balearics to defend our Balearic Sea.
🎬 Last Thursday, more than 60 people gathered to enjoy the screening of Ganado o Desierto, the second documentary in our Environmental Film Series “Cine Consciente.” 🌱
We are thrilled to introduce GALATZÓ and ALFABIA, the names you selected in our story survey. These young eagles, tagged in June with the assistance of the Pennatus Association team, are now equipped with GPS/GSM devices that allow us to track their first flights.
