The Inter Islas Project "Weaving the Future" addresses plastic pollution in Mallorca, Menorca, and Ibiza through three main pillars: scientific research, circular economy, and public awareness. The initiative includes a study on plastic waste on the seabed of the Balearic Sea, craft and art workshops using recycled materials, and a magic workshop to educate schoolchildren about sustainability.

We aim to conduct a characterization study of plastics on the seabed of the Balearic Islands to analyze their origin, abundance, and typology. This will enable us to build a solid database to develop environmental management strategies and enhance public awareness.
