Mallorca Preservation and the Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival (EMIFF) are launching the second edition of the environmental film series “Cine Consciente” (Conscious Cinema). This space for reflection and dissemination uses the seventh art as a tool to raise awareness about the main environmental challenges facing Mallorca and the planet.

During the series, we will screen four key documentaries, each linked to our work at Mallorca Preservation:

- Mecanismo invisible (Invisible Mechanism): Shows the social organization of bees and other pollinators in Mallorca.

- Before the Flood: Explores the devastating effects of climate change around the world through interviews with experts, politicians, and social leaders.

- Majorca observed: One of the first documentaries about Mallorca's nature. It reflects the contrast between traditional life and the island's biodiversity versus the arrival of tourists.

- Ocean with David Attenborough: Addresses the challenges facing the oceans due to human intervention: overfishing, pollution, and climate change.
