Projects

Ponent Viu is an initiative aimed at strengthening protection and raising awareness of the ecological value of the Les Illes del Ponent de Mallorca Marine Reserve, located in the southwest of the island.

The project is carried out in collaboration with Save the Med and the General Directorate of Fisheries, and promotes awareness-raising, communication, and management actions to encourage compliance with regulations and promote effective conservation of the marine environment. Mallorca Preservation actively participates in regional coordination and in publicizing these initiatives, particularly in the municipality of Calvià.

Its activities include campaigns to reduce boat speeds in sensitive areas, improve the management of recreational fishing, support research and citizen science initiatives, and raise awareness of the ecological value of the Marine Reserve among the local population, the educational community, and various coastal users.
