V natureWatch Meeting

In October, the 5th National Meeting of Nature Observation Tourism was held under the main goal of moving towards responsible and sustainable tourism, which contributes to nature conservation and benefits local communities economically and socially.

Mallorca Preservation had the opportunity to participate thanks to Ana Riera, Executive Director of MAPF, who assisted as moderator in the round table discussion entitled: “Ecotourism in a mature destination, can it be an option for the future?”, in which the Islands were presented as an example of a mature destination and the benefits that ecotourism would bring to places of high demand such as the Balearic and Canary Islands. Offering ecotourism as an alternative to mass tourism.
